Reading 📚

It’s been a rough reading month for me, guys. I’ve only read two books so far and both were this past weeked.

I finished The Art Thieves by Andrea L Rogers. This is Good Day To Read Indigenous book club selection. (Join our book clubs on Discord.) This is an Indigenous YA Dystopian Time Travel book and OMG, you need to read it yesterday. This is definitely going to be in my top ten books of the year. Full review coming soon.

I also finished Dial A For Aunties by Jesse Q Sutanto. OBSESSED. If you love a little murder and hilarious shenanigans with your romance, you will love this book. Sutanto is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I loved Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers and You Will Never Be Me. I cannot wait to read all of the Aunties series.

Watching 📺

I have my weekly soaps: SVU, Found, Will Trent and Chicago PD. I am currently making my way through Supernatural for this first time (on Season 4). I finished up Season 2 of Night Agent on Netflix. If you like fast-paced spy thrillers with a hint of romance, this is a great show! Season 2 is even better than S1. I started Apple Cider Vinegar, on Netflix, which is a fictionalized documentary based on real events. The show follows a wellness influencer who fakes brain cancer to sell healthy cancer remedies. I’m only two episodes in and this show is BATSHIT BANANAS. A friend recommended I check out Scamanda on HULU next, about another scam artist and she is local to me! Yay!

Listening🎶🎧

I don’t listen to music much these days. If I’ve got something in my ear, it’s usually an audiobook. I do rotate Noah Kahan and Hozier. I just discovered Florence and the Machine had a live album a few years back, so I’ve been listening to that and I created a HOT GIRL FRENCH playlist to help me brush up on my French listening comprehension.
