As someone who knows their reading taste so well that they typically rate books 4 and 5 stars, it might surprise you to hear that I am currently reading a 1 STAR book right now...ON PURPOSE.

This all started a couple of months ago when that ghostwriter got on the internet and made a video letting authors know that there was no way they could be better writers than Stephenie Meyer, author of Twilight.

I couldn't chime in because, well, I have never read the series! Well, that''s going to change now.

My friend, Michael Laborn, and I will be buddy hate reading the series and watching the movies to review and determine if Stephenie Meyer is truly one of the most skilled writers to bless the page. (At 250 pages into the first book, I am going to confidently call it now: LOL, NO.) We will be looking at skill, problematic representation and the franchise's place in pop culture.

I've read over half of the first book and I can't tell who the worst is:

Bella, Edward, Mike or Lauren.

I hope Mike dies. (NO SPOILERS, PLS!)

I guess it's Mike.

Or Stephenie.
